UNEC Students Ranked Fifth in the World at an International Competition Awarded Certificates of Honour

The Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Professor Adalat Muradov, met with students of the Faculty of Digital Economy who achieved success at the international robotics competition “Robotex International 2025”, held in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

During the meeting, Rector Adalat Muradov congratulated the students on their international achievement and stated that securing first place nationally and regionally, as well as ranking among the top five teams worldwide, is a source of great pride. He particularly emphasized that through this achievement, the students elevated the name of UNEC and represented Azerbaijan with distinction on the international stage.

The Rector noted that Azerbaijani youth have always stood out through their knowledge, skills, and initiative. He highlighted that transforming theoretical knowledge into practical skills is the key to success and underlined that UNEC provides broad opportunities for students to work on real projects and to bring their innovative ideas to life.

The meeting also addressed the efforts undertaken at UNEC to strengthen the startup movement. The Rector stated that student startup projects are financed from the university’s budget and encouraged young people to make more active use of their knowledge and skills and to continue pursuing innovative initiatives.

Members of the UNEC team, Ashurbey Mammadzada, Ali Safarli, Mahammad Mardanov, Zahid Tazakhanov, and Tofiq Aliyev, expressed their gratitude to the university administration for the attention and support shown to them. The students emphasized their confidence that such international achievements will continue in the future.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Rector Adalat Muradov awarded the students Certificates of Honour.
